Quavo And Saweetie Are The Ultimate 2020 Couple
Quavo and Saweetie are the ultimate couple of 2020, they’re proving to become stronger with each other as time goes by. The couple spoke with the GQ magazine and disclosed their relationship to the public.
The ‘My Type’ female rapper and ‘Bad and Boujee’ male rapper have surprised their fans by revealing how the two started to get fond of each other. Saweetie, who’s real name is Diamonté Harper always found Quavious, known as Quavo, very attractive.
Saweetie would screenshot his pictures and send it to her friends, “He’s always been fine to me, in a group chat [with friends], I would screenshot his picture and be like, ‘Damn.'”
Quavo took the first step to initiate the conversation over Instagram, he slid into her DMs, basically. “I seen her on my Explore page. I was like, ‘Damn! Who is this? So I did my research and I DM her. I was like, ‘How she going to call herself icy and she don’t talk to me?’ So I slid in her DM. I told her, ‘You an icy girl, you need a glacier boy.'”
On hearing this, Saweetie remembers the conversation and says, “He sent me the snowflake [emoji], and I sent him the stir-fry back,”. Which is an reference to one of the biggest hits from his rap group, Migos.
As they flirted over Instagram, conversations slowly moved to phone calls and then after months, they decided to meet. Quavo picked the restaurant, his favourite steakhouse, ‘Stoney River’ where an awkward incident took place but it helped to break the ice.
Saweetie recalls how Quavo chocked on a crab, “I’m still getting to know him, so I feel awkward because he’s, like, choking at the table.”. However, the night ended with an ‘intimate first’ and since then they have not looked back.
After being together for two years, there’s no stopping them, “Growing up I struggled with communication. And he has taught me to be a better communicator. I feel like I’m growing and I’m maturing because of him — not the music, not Saweetie, but Diamonté. I don’t know how I would be as a person if I would have never met him.”
Quavo agreed with his girlfriend, “When she talk to me and when we started talking to each other, the Saweetie s**t go out the window and the Quavo s**t go out the window. I give her Quavious. I give her what my mama calls me, I don’t let people inside my life, and I let her inside. And she’s helping me grow up. She’s showing me how to love a woman”
Well, we hope Quavo and Saweetie continue to be this power couple of 2020 because for sure, they’re becoming a power couple.
