Post Malone Makes History with ‘Circles’; Details Here

Post Malone soars high with 'Circles'

Singer-songwriter, Post Malone, just logged yet another achievement with his hit single, ‘Circles’. As of this week’s Billboard Hot 100 survey, the song has recorded a 60-week streak on the chart. Further, Billboard reports that Post joins an elite club of only 15 other artists to have achieved this feat. And, if you need some perspective on the magnitude of this achievement, that’s 0.05% of all artists that have ever made it to the singles chart.

‘Circles’, which was released back in August, 2019, first landed atop the Hot 100 chart in November. Eventually, it went on to log a total of 3 weeks atop the prestigious music chart. Further, it marked his first ever solo track to score No. 1. The emotional pop-trap ode to broken down love and the vicious cycle of a breakup was also the third promotional single from the mammoth success, his third studio album, “Hollywood’s Bleeding”.

In addition, his 60-week residency on the Hot 100 chart is accompanied by other awe inspiring achievements. As reported, ‘Circles’ is now the longest charting Hot 100 #1 by a lead solo male. With this, Post Malone surpasses Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’, which logged 59 weeks on the chart.

Further, ‘Circles’ has also recorded the most weeks within the Top 10 of the Hot 100 by an artist, ever: 39 weeks in total. And, adding to that, it has spent all 60 weeks within the Top 25 of the chart; once again, the most by any artist/ song in the chart’s history.

2020 seems to be Post Malone’s best year, yet. The star has been bagging awards left and right. And, with these soaring records, there’s nothing stopping him on the way to total domination.
