As the global coronavirus pandemic chugs on, there’s been no dearth in virtual concerts and other livestream events. In fact, just last week, Billie Eilish announced her first virtual concert, ‘Where Do We Go?’ set to take place on October 24th. Now, adding to this steadily growing list is none other than Niall Horan.
The former One Direction member is currently gearing up for a livestream show that will raise money for his touring crew. Horan will take the stage of London’s grand Royal Albert Hall for his show. The star took to social media to break the news. He shared a brief clip of himself walking through the carpeted isles of the Royal Albert Hall, tearing open the deep red curtains and standing at centre stage.
Niall Horan Addresses The Struggles Faced By Touring Crews
Under this post, Horan dished out all the details on this upcoming livestream event. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 16th, at 4 AM ET. Horan will split all profits from the show between his touring crew and the global #WeNeedCrew relief fund. In a sweet dedication to his crew, Horan emphasized all the time and effort they put into every show,
“This is something I’m incredibly passionate about as live events are something we all love and miss,” he began, “Until we are able to return I want to shine a light on the incredible crew members of our touring world that make those events possible and whose livelihoods have been severely affected by Covid-19 and the lack of financial support.”
“I’m putting on this gig to try and raise awareness of the immense value they bring to an industry enjoyed by so many, and do something to help them and their families. I ask all my fans to support them with me and buy a ticket if you can, and I encourage all artists to do the same.”
Horan is all set to perform gems from his debut studio album, “Flicker” which released in 2017. He will also be dishing out hits from his latest effort, ‘Heartbreak Weather”. The concert will take place on November 7th, so mark your calendars.
