Miley Cyrus Promises A Sultry Treat with ‘Midnight Sky’

Miley Cyrus recently had fans sitting up in their seats with the announcement of her highly-anticipated album, “She Is Miley Cyrus”. The young star took to social media to reveal an assortment of treats, pointing towards the album, a possible collaboration and her brand new single, ‘Midnight Sky”.

We were given our first taste of ‘Midnight Sky’ through a brief clip Miley shared on Instagram. It featured her decked with sparkly accessories and a pair of shades, grooving along to her dreamy, psychedelic vocals. And not long after, the former Disney star confirmed that the track would make its landing on August 14th.

A Deep Dive Into The ‘Midnight Sky’ Teasers

And since then, we’ve relied on Miley’s steady flow of teasers to keep us on our toes. The next arrival gave us a better idea of the theme behind the track. It featured Miley dancing a pair of sparkly gloves down her legs in an action that can be described as equally sultry and sinister. In fact, it was almost as though the star was crafting her aesthetics based on frames from ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show”. The caption certainly sounded like a piece of dialogue that could very easily be slipped into the musical: “I was born to run. I don’t belong to anyone. (And yes I can run in these f**king heels cause I’m a BOSS)”  

The next clip to follow was just as absurd. It featured close-up shots of Miley’s lips, edited in accordance to the tune’s groovy beats. But here’s the kicker: her caption was sprinkled with what might just be a lyric from ‘Midnight Sky’. It read: “See my lips on her mouth everybody’s talking now…”

Now, Miley’s forthcoming record will be a follow-up to 2019’s EP,  “She Is Coming”. While the new album has no official release date yet, for now we can fix our napkins in preparation for ‘Midnight Sky’.
