Lil Wayne Becomes Another Artist To Diss The Grammys

Lil Wayne Grammy Tweet

Grammy Season has been making the news ever since the nominations list dropped. Most of the noise comes from the Grammys not doing justice by the artists. Now, Lil Wayne has joined the rest in taking out his frustration about the Recording Academy.

Months back, The Weeknd took to his Twitter account and questioned the transparency behind the Grammys. And, just a few days back, Zayn Malik also took to his handle, explaining that the nomination only happens if one shakes hands and sends the jury gifts. So, what does Lil Wayne have to add to it?

Lil Wayne took to his Twitter handle to express his anger right after the 63rd Grammy Award functions. He tweeted “F-k the Grammys”, a personal shoutout.

History Of Lil Wayne’s Tweet!

In 2020 December, Lil Wayne has also spoken about the Grammys. He wondered why his name wasn’t on the nomination list. The singer tweeted, “As an artist, when I see da Grammys coming up & I’m not involved nor invited; I wonder. Is it me, my musik, or just another technicality? I look around w respect & wonder competitively am I not worthy?! Then I look around & see 5 Grammys looking bak at me & I go to the studio.”

Lil Wayne Wins 4 Grammys In One Night!

Back in 2009, the Grammy Awards let Lil Wayne take four trophies home. These awards were of best rap solo performance for “A Milli”, best rap song for “Lollipop,” best rap performance by a duo or group for his “Swagga Like Us” collab and best rap album for ‘Tha Carter III’. Even in 2017, the rapper received the award for best rap performance for ‘No Problem’.

However, in 2020, there’s been not even a nod for the rapper though his album, ‘Funeral‘ has topped the Billboard 200 charts. Lil Wayne surely is disappointed and so are we. Is Grammys ever going to do anything about how they’re constantly upsetting the artists?
