Lana Del Rey has been attacked from a past few days. She was dragged for targeting women of color and now, she’s being under the light for posting a footage of protesters of Los Angeles without blurring their faces. She doesn’t seem to catch a break.
Over the weekend, the “Summertime Sadness” singer joined the protesters in the support of #BlackLivesMatter in LA. A protest which supported the justice for George Floyd and many others African American victims who have suffered the brutality of police.
Lana Del Rey posted the footage of protesters looting while she zoomed on the faces of a few. While, she did that, she did not bother covering their faces, leaving their identities exposed.
But, what puts her into a spot, yet again? Singers like Tinashe and Kehlani called out Lana Del Rey for putting the protesters in danger.
“Please remove your Instagram post it’s dangerous as fuck and a very poor choice of moments to post,” Kehlani wrote in a tweet. “By all means protest, but DO NOT endanger people with your very massive platform. Oh and turn your fuckin comments on man”
Tinashe tweeted, “why the fuck you posting people looting stores on your page literally WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM.”
Lana Del Rey removed her tweet after she was called out by the singers. Totally makes us think that she’s not up for another Internet fight.
Tinashe was also part of the protest and shared it on her social media. However, she did not seem to the mistake Lana did. Well, it almost seems like the right time to go at the “Video Games” singer considering her recent drama. We hope it stops though!
We are also excited for the new album release from the singer. She announced that her new album “Chemtrails Over The Country Club” will be out on September 5.
