Just last week, Lady Gaga teased her much awaited collab with Ariana Grande by putting out a picture of the cover art for their song, ‘Rain on Me’. And now, the tune has finally landed in our laps. This one’s going to feature in Lady Gaga’s upcoming album, ‘Chromatica’. It’s set to drop on May 29th.

The song showcases both Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga’s unmatched vocals, making it incredibly catchy. Between stunning falsettos and Gaga’s husky vocals, which we see in bouts, the song simply hooks you in from the very first notes. Not to mention the fantastic retro beats that create the foundation of this track.

Lady Gaga Gives us a Peek at the Process

Speaking about this collab with Zane Lowe, Lady Gaga explained, “I said to her, ‘OK, now everything that you care about while you sing, I want you to forget it and just sing, and by the way, while you’re doing that, I’m going to dance in front of you. And she was like, ‘Oh my God. Oh my God, I can’t, I can’t. I don’t know. Oh my God. OK, OK.’ And then I did it and she sang, and she started to do things with her voice that was different. And it was the joy of two artists going, ‘I see you.'”

Which is an interesting way of pulling something new out of a singer. Rather than falling back on familiar pop melodies. Gaga has also promised that the music video, which is yet to drop, will showcase a new side to Ariana Grande. She also opened up about their friendship and how it bloomed.

“She (Ariana) would try over and over again to be friends with me. And I was too ashamed to hang out with her because I didn’t want to project all of this negativity onto something that was healing and so beautiful. And eventually she called me on my s–t. She was, ‘You’re hiding.’ And I was … and then this friendship blossomed.” It’s simply lovely to witness artists confiding in each other and supporting each other. This just proves that it’s not always about the music, it’s also about their personal growth as people.

Anyway, enough about that, now it’s high time you listen to their track.
