Kesha Explores Absurdist Dreams in ‘Little Bit of Love’

Kesha just arrived with the perfect representation of 2020 in the form of her music video for the track, ‘Little Bit of Love’. Featuring a cocktail of bizarre visuals and dream-like locations, it’s a wild ride from start to finish.

‘Little Bit of Love’ opens with Kesha’s strong verses over a tinkling beat. The tune picks up as it reaches the chorus, opting for more warped melodies and the young star’s flawless high notes. Being both groovy and fun, we could possibly label this tune as a wonderfully feel-good number.

The title perfectly embodies the concept behind the song. We see Kesha plead to her lover for just a tad bit more affection and care. The lyrics are simple and dive straight to the point, take a look:

Oh, babe, whatever happened to us?
You only wanna call me when we’re in a big fight
You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone to the afterlife
I could use a little bit of love tonight

Kesha Shows You the World & Her Cat

Now, coming to the music video, it gives us an odd glimpse into Kesha’s mind. The video opens with the star lazing around in her blanket cocoon, as her cat snoozes by her feet. What follows is an absolutely bizarre dream sequence, which seems to draw inspiration from the film, ‘Cats’. Precisely speaking, we witness Kesha tour the world with a cat-person, the latter donning a black turtleneck and a pair of trousers. Between sharing a gondola ride through Venice, shooting lasers at buildings, joining a wild car chase and and even riding gigantic chickens – Kesha’s dreams are a spoonful of absurdist comedy to say the least.

Adapting to the new quarantine norm, this video was shot entirely from home by Kesha and her boyfriend, Brad, with a little help of a green screen and some strange cat masks.  It’s surely been a whirlwind of a year, but we can firmly say that gems like this make it a little more bearable.
