Kelly Clarkson Announces New Holiday Single ‘Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You)’
Kelly Clarkson is all set to get her fans into the holiday spirit as she herself is gearing up for the Christmas season. She got her fans all excited by announcing her new holiday single “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You).”
On 15th September, the pop star announced her new song that is set to be released on 23rd September via Atlantic Records. Fans had been asking The Voice coach, who just kicked off the third season of her Daytime Emmy- winning talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show, if it was time to listen to Clarkson’s Christmas music, and on 14th, she promised the time would come “soon.”
In her latest Instagram video where she announced her new jingle she said, “Y’all know I’m obsessed with Christmas!!”
“Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You)” is the first song from her upcoming ninth studio album. The song follows Clarkson’s 2020 holiday offerings “Under the Mistletoe” with Brett Eldredge and a cover of Vince Vance & the Valiants’ “All I Want for Christmas is You.” The former single reached the top 10 of Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs and Adult Contemporary charts in December.
The news comes after New York Times reported that Clarkson is working on a Christmas album for release later this year.
While the singer has yet to announce a new holiday album, Clarkson’s label has confirmed that the new single is coming from her upcoming ninth studio album, which will mark the singer’s second holiday project since the release of 2013’s Wrapped In Red and her first new album since 2017’s Meaning Of Life.
