Katy Perry Drops An ‘Electric’ Single

Katy Perry has just released her new single ‘Electric‘ and you might be quite surprised by the other star who features in it; it’s our favorite Pokemon, Pikachu! This song is part of the Pokémon franchise’s 25th anniversary and will feature in the album –Pokémon 25: The Album.

A Beautiful Time Travel

In ‘Electric’, Katy Perry and Pikachu visit a Time Lighthouse to travel backward in time to the singer’s past. They alter her childhood reality so that Perry could grow up to be a confident and successful artist.

“The song’s themes—resilience, igniting your inner light—have guided my life and also parallel Pokémon’s story and characters”,Katy shares. Guess the world would have never gotten to see Katy if she hadn’t decided to go on that little adventure with her buddy!

Post Malone and J Balvin are the other singers who will also be a part of Pokemon’s Silver Jubilee and feature in the album alongside Katy. Here is Post Malone’s cover of Hootie and the Blowfish’s song ‘Only Wanna Be With You‘ in case you missed it.
