Justin Bieber Ties Up with Benny Blanco For A Fresh Track ‘Lonely’

It’s been a good few weeks since Justin Bieber made his landing with the sugary sweet ‘Holy‘ featuring Chance the Rapper. After a string of cryptic teasers, the tune finally made its landing with an accompanying short film on September 18th. Invariably, ‘Holy’ kickstarted a new era in music for Bieber. 

And now, it looks like Justin’s got a fiery new collaboration up his sleeve. This time around, he’s teaming up with Benny Blanco for a fresh track titled, ‘Lonely’. 

Bieber took to Instagram to break the news. He shared a charming photo of what appears to be a younger version of himself, complete with his fluffy blonde bangs and classic purple hoodie. 

Little Bieber is sitting in a large dressing room, a vase full of white roses and other items lay on the counter before him. The star simply captioned the post with, ‘#Lonely with @itsbennyblanco Friday’. Sources say that the actor chosen to play a young Justin will be Jacob Tremblay. The 14 year old actor is best known for his standout performance in 2015’s ‘Room,’ 2017’s ‘Wonder,’ and 2019’s ‘Doctor Sleep’.

Interestingly, Blanco has worked with Bieber in the past, helping him craft the chart-topping hit, ‘Love Yourself’. The track found its space on the singer’s 2015 album, “Purpose”. On the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart, the song became Bieber’s third consecutive number-one. It also earned Bieber his first number one on the Adult Contemporary chart. ‘Love Yourself’ even went on to score two Grammy nominations for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. 

So, will their new track, ‘Lonely’ take the same route? We’ll find out this Friday, October 16th.
