As voter turnout rates in this year’s US General Elections continues to soar, musicians, artists and celebrities in the country have been encouraging voting. Selena Gomez, Lizzo and more have confirmed their endorsements this time around. And, Kanye West – rapper, producer, and 2020 Presidential candidate, just joined that list. The star took to Twitter to share who his vote went to during this year’s election. And, the statement was nothing short of Kanye at his peak.

Ye shared videos of his ballot and pictures at the voting booth, and finally revealed who he voted for. He wrote, “God is so good. Today I am voting for the first time in my life for the President of the United States.” Further, he added, “And it’s for someone I truly trust…me.” See? Peak Kanye. In addition, the rapper shared other messages like “We are here to serve. We pray for every servant leader in the world.”

However, soon after vote counting began on the 3rd of November, West took to Twitter to bid farewell to the 2020 General Elections Presidential race. With a low count of 0.4% and counting, the rapper declared his intent to run for the 2024 elections. Posting a picture of himself with a backdrop of the voters map, the rapper, tweeted, “WELP KANYE 2024”.

And, with that, ends the era of “Kanye for President”. Well, for now.
