Griff and Sigrid Has Announced Release Date for Collaborative Single ‘Head On Fire’

After disclosing the existence of their collaborative single ‘Head on Fire’ this week, Griff and Sigrid have revealed when it will be released. Last week, the two pop artists teased the upcoming collaboration with a series of cryptic videos posted on their social media accounts.

Now, the duo has verified when fans will be able to hear the complete track. “Pop girls unite,” Griff wrote on Instagram on 4th January. “Support our tired little faces and pre-save head on fire.”

The post that followed the caption contained photographs of Sigrid and Griff in the studio and a short video clip of them singing a line from the song, as Sigrid plays piano.

Griff announced the track on 3rd January in a post on her TikTok account. “Sigrid and I have an important message,” the video said. “We’ve written a song called ‘Head on Fire’.

“It’s about your head being on fire, which I’m sure you can relate to,” it continued, while audio of the song played in the background.

The Hertfordshire singer hinted at a collaboration with the Norwegian artist last October when she shared a video of them both being interviewed backstage at Radio 1’s Out Out event. “If you were to collab with someone from the Out Out line-up, who would it be?” the interviewer asks Sigrid, to which she replies: “Oooh! Griff, she’s great!”

Griff, when asked the same question, says she’d like to collaborate with Sigrid before winking at the camera and saying, “Hint hint.”

Griff hasn’t released new music since her August 2021 single ‘One Night,’ while Sigrid released two songs off her next album last year, ‘Mirror’ and ‘Burning Bridges.’

Both musicians are also set to hit the road this year, with Griff kicking off a North American tour in January that will take her through the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. She’ll also be supporting Dua Lipa this spring in the United Kingdom and Europe tour.

Meanwhile, Sigrid will embark on her biggest-ever UK, Ireland, and European tour in March, which will include a performance at London’s SSE Arena Wembley.
