Grandson of Elvis Presley Dies: Self Inflicted Gunshot

Benjamin Keough, the only grandson of the superstar, Elvis Presley, passed away at the young age of 27 years on July 12, 2020. Roger Widynowski who’s the manager of his mother, confirmed the death to the local media. Local police sources informed news agencies that he was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the body.

Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley had four children through two of her marriages. In a statement, Widynowski commented, “She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley. She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”

Keough rarely made appearances in public, but the few photos of him showed that he strongly resembled his grandfather, Elvis Presley. His mother described Keough’s resemblance to Elvis as “just uncanny.”

It has been reported that Benjamin was an aspiring musician, in 2019, he had even signed a $5 million record deal for releasing five albums however no one heard anything.

This is yet another loss of a upcoming talent that has taken place this year. Suicide still remains to be the number one cause of death of artists around the world and a tragedy like this has only shone a light on this issue again.
