DaBaby and Roddy Ricch Reign Supreme on the Hot 100

Hot 100 Winners

Rappers DaBaby and Roddy Ricch have made it to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 once again. Their chart topping hit, ‘Rockstar‘, occupies the No. 1 spot on the chart for the (total) third week since its debut on the chart.

The Billboard Hot 100 rankings for the week hit the music world today, and surprise has ensued. DaBaby and Roddy Ricch – the week’s crowned stars – have grabbed No. 1 right out of the hands of last week’s stars, 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj. The latter duo’s track ‘Trollz’ suffers a huge hit on the charts this week, dropping all the way to No. 34 after last week’s No. 1 debut

This week’s ranking marks the third week (non-consecutive) that ‘Rockstar’ spends at No.1 atop the chart. The track also continues to occupy No. 1 on the Streaming Songs Chart for the sixth consecutive week in a row. The smash hit collaboration also continues to enjoy success on the Hot R&B/ Hip Hop Songs chart, as well as the Hot Rap Songs chart.

Other appearances on this week’s Hot 100 ranking include some familiar faces. The Weeknd’s disco-pop hit, ‘Blinding Lights’, stays strong at No. 3. Justin Bieber and Doja Cat continue to occupy No. 5 and No. 6 with their tracks, ‘Intentions’ ft. Quavo and ‘Say So’, respectively.

Meghan Thee Stallion continues to claim her space in music, grounded at No. 2 on the Hot 100, with the remix of ‘Savage’ ft. Beyonce.

Roddy Ricch and DaBaby enjoy another high as their politically charged performance of ‘Rockstar’ (a remixed version), enjoys mass audiences world over. The performance debuted at the BET Awards 2020 and has received commendations, since.
