Christina Aguilera Celebrates 21 Yrs Of Self Titled Album

Christina Aguilera celebrates twenty one years of her debut self titled album by recalling the week which made her a star. She took to her social media to announce that a new rendition of ‘Reflection’ is also dropping the same week as the anniversary.

Christina Aguilera captioned wrote, “So crazy — 21 years ago, I scored Reflection and my record deal in the same week. Fast forward to today, the 21st anniversary is falling on the same week my new rendition of Reflection is dropping. The stars are aligning,”

The video clip on her post was taped by a VHS tape which featured some of her initial hits like, ‘Genie in a Bottle’, ‘What a Girl Wants’ and ‘Come On Over Baby’. The 48 seconds clip by Christina Aguilera ended with her 1998′ original version of, ‘Reflection’.

Christina Aguilera’s Debut Album

The “Christina Aguilera” album released on August 24, 1999 by RCCA Records and became a big deal because of it’s dance-pop and teen-pop hits. The album features David Frank, Ron Fair, Guy Roche, Robin Thicke, Diane Warren, Matthew Wilder, and Aaron Zigman.

Christina Aguilera earned the No.1 position on the US Billboard 200 and sold 253,000 copies within the first week. Seems like, her debut album is very close to her heart. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of it, she released a deluxe version with ‘xxtra special versions’ of the original tracks.

We want to congratulate Christina Aguilera on her 21st anniversary of the album. But as we do that, trust us, we can’t wait to hear the new version of ‘Reflection’.
