10 year old instrumentalist and internet sensation, Nandi Bushell, has drawn attention with her cover of Rage Against the Machine’s “Guerilla Radio” amid the current Black Lives Matter Movement.

Nandi Bushell first broke out as a viral sensation on the internet three years ago when she posted videos of herself drumming. She was immediately touted as a prodigy, often being called the drummer girl for her unbelievable skill. Since then, she has gone on to have countless amazing experiences like appearing on The Ellen Show, jamming with Lenny Kravitz at the O2 arena, and a heartwarming interaction with Dua Lipa

As the US continues to unify against police brutality and systemic racism, the entertainment world is coming together to contribute to the BLM movement in whatever way they can. At a mere 10 years old, Nandi Bushell is one of those changemakers. The child prodigy used her platform to raise awareness, posting a cover of Rage Against the Machine’s bold song “Guerilla Radio”.

In the 1 minute cover, Nandi Bushell can be seen playing three instruments. Her dum kit is covered with a sign that reads: “Black Lives Matter”. The 10 year old, fittingly, screams in the high-energy video, letting out her rage at the incident.

As mass demonstrations continue across the country, the BLM movement picks up traction like never before. With public involvement from some of the biggest names in music and film, to outspoken activism from influential citizens in the US and abroad, the movement continues in full swing. Nandi Bushell makes an appearance on an unending list of people trying to raise awareness and encourage vocalisation for the movement.
