Cardi B Thinks The World Wants To See Her Fail

Cardi B has made her mark since the time she’s come into the music industry. There’s no denying the moment she achieved a great deal of success, she was compared to Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliot, and more. Maybe, that’s what the world does. However, the rapper really thinks that expectations are way too high for a female rapper.

Recently, Cardi B sat for an interview with Mariah Carey and discussed her upcoming album after her successful first “Invasion Of Privacy”. The ‘WAP‘ rapper was clear about feeling not great if the second album didn’t do as well as the debut.

Cardi B goes on to say, “People always have crazy expectations, especially when it comes to female rap. It’s not like it’s a competition, but people are always comparing and comparing and comparing. It’s almost like they want to see you fail.”

She continued: “I hate the feeling when I don’t do something really good. So I want my shit to be good because my last album did so well, and if this one doesn’t do well, I’m going to feel really sad.”

Mariah Carey has her own way of calming Cardi B down on hearing this. The singer claimed that the second record, “Emotions” didn’t perform well compared to the first. But that didn’t stop her from trying different things and moving forward. Surely, that has worked in her favour.
