Burna Boy Gears Up to Drop “Twice as Tall”

The Nigerian singer-songwriter, Burna Boy, recently created waves with ‘My Oasis’. The star featured on this tune by Sam Smith, taking everyone by surprise with this unusual collaboration. Layered with soothing beats and soulful verses, the tune made for a wonderful listen. And it looks like now, the artist has returned to his solo endeavours. 

Burna Boy is gearing up to drop his brand new album titled, “Twice as Tall”. The record is slated to drop on August 14. It also boasts of quite the star cast from the likes of Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Stormzy, Naughty by Nature and more. Diddy, Bosede Ogulu, and Burna Boy settled into their roles as executive producers for this album, which holds a good 15 tracks. 

The star has left behind a trail of intriguing teasers on social media. The teasers feature a circle of fiery colours bleeding into a dark backdrop, as the text scrawled across drops hints on the album. Interestingly enough, Burna Boy also plans to accompany the album release with a comic book. According to him, the comic will help fans gain a better understanding of the concept behind the album. The cover art features an electrifying animated version of the artist, who is holding on to what appears to be…infinity stones. The rather dramatic text settled below the image reads, ‘The Journey to Becoming Twice as Tall’. Now, that sounds like a superhero’s origin story right there. 

Burna Boy already gave us a taste of the album through his vibrant pre-release single, ‘Wonderful‘. But apart from this tune, take a nice long look at the other tracks sitting on the record.
