Burna Boy Drops ‘Way Too Big’ Music Video

Burna Boy has released a new music video for his single ‘Way Too Big’ on 15th Dec. 2020. The single is from his album “Twice As Tall” that came out on 14th August 2020. Though we had to wait a bit, we’ve finally gotten what we wanted!

The video is directed by Meji Alabi and shot in London and Lagos. The album, “Twice As Tall” comes as a follow-up to 2019’s “African Giant”. Featuring big names like Chris Martin, Stormzy, Naughty by Nature and Youssou N’Dour, the album has been loved by fans. Massive, right?

‘Way Too Big’ feels like a smooth combination of hip-hop with a tinge of Afro-pop. Production has been much-loved. The stellar cast of Leriq, Mike Dean and Diddy have treated the audience with a groovy, breakneck tempo instrumental that smoothly glides across both genres.

Way Too Inspiring…

The video of ‘Way Too Big’ sees Burna Boy sporting a self-confident look, keeping up his intentions of avoiding bad company. The opening shot shows a young boy in Lagos, Nigeria coming across a statue of the singer as a boxer. It reflects a completely tangent path for the African Giant. The boxer is seen defeating his opponent to become a huge star, just the way he is now.

As he sits atop a billboard that features him advertising a drink, people stop and notice the star acknowledging the sight in excitement. This is accompanied by the pleasant strumming of violin strings complementing his sultry but crisp vocals. The singer seems to reflect his belief in himself to have become a success story regardless of the field.

That is one powerful message and what a descriptive video. It is sure to motivate his fans and viewers. Here’s a picture he teased his followers with:

Fans Go Gaga!

The video release has all of Burna Boy’s fans gathering in the comments section to shower him with nothing but love and praises. They find his music genuine and the content, extremely creative. Shoutout to the director. Burna Boy’s acting skills are widely appreciated too. Nigerians settled across the world relate to him through his music and that alone speaks enough for the video and his music.

Well, Burna Boy has ensured the exhibition of that unmissable confidence and portrayal of different models of leadership for his native youth in all his music leading up to this one. In case you missed this much appreciated, brilliant video, watch now:
