#BTSWEEK On the Jimmy Fallon Show Starts With A Bang

#BTSWEEK officially kicks off

South Korean boy group, BTS, are regulars to the world of headlines by now. And, aside from scoring their third, non-consecutive week atop the Hot 100 charts today, they also wowed with brand new performances on the Jimmy Fallon show. The highly anticipated #BTSWEEK finally kicked off earlier today.

And, the first edition of the exciting line up featured two explosive performances by the boys. One being a grand performance of their 2018 hit, ‘IDOL’. And, the other being a vibrant, acapella driven rendition of ‘Dynamite’, featuring The Roots and Jimmy Fallon himself.

In addition, (and in regular fashion), massive Twitter trends followed the premiere of their performances. And, fans were especially taken up by the youngest of the group, Jungkook, as he took the stage with a new hairstyle.

Two Unique Performances

Kicking things off with a performance of ‘IDOL’, #BTSWEEK began in traditional Korean roots as the boys donned designer house Hanboks. Further, they took the stage at a traditionally designed Korean location. Clad in all black, performing against the setting sun, ‘IDOL’ was a slick and powerful visual spectacle.

And, then, in stark contrast, arrived a vibrant performance of their latest single, ‘Dynamite’. Accompanying a barrage of remixes, this version of the chart-topping track saw guest appearances from The Roots and Jimmy Fallon, joining in on the fun sing along. #BTSWEEK switched gears to retro-styled pop art grids of colour.

What’s To Come?

And, though this may be their first edition in the #BTSWEEK lineup, fans can expect a whole lot more. Every day of this week is slated to bring a new performance or two. And, in any case, it’s never a state of silence from the BTS camps. The group recently announced the release of their upcoming studio album. In addition, according to the latest chart rankings, they’ve become the only artist to rule the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 200 (Excl. US) charts simultaneously.

Further, a remix of Jason Derulo’s ‘Savage Love’ featuring the Korean septet is all set to make its way this week. So, the BTS ARMY can be rest assured of a busy few weeks.
