South Korean boy group, BTS, are gearing up for the second installment in their live streaming series: ‘Bang Bang Con’. Unlike the previous live stream, this virtual concert will happen in real time, with live performances rather than replays of previously recorded concert footage. The stream will begin at 6 PM KST on June 14th.

ARMYs world over are rejoicing with the news of the event. The stream, titled ‘Bang Bang Con, The Live’ will feature a multi-view BTS concert experience. The official press release reads that the stream will allow for a “very special ‘On-Contact’ experience”. The event is paid for, and will be available for pre-order on the fan forum – Weverse from June 1st.

Fan speculations suggest that this edition of Bang Bang Con will feature new choreography and never-before-seen performances from their latest release “Map of the Soul: 7”. There has been no official statement about the exact content of the live, but ARMY has a knack for making wishes come true.

BTS released “Map of the Soul: 7” on 21st February. It marked their first full-length studio album since the last installment in the ‘Love Yourself’ series. And though the album performed exceedingly well on streaming services and digital song charts, the group struggled to promote the album with a live audience back in Korea, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Shows, tours and appearances were also subsequently cancelled. ‘Bang Bang Con’ comes as a remedy to this problem, then.

Musicians world over have been curating live streams and virtual concerts in an attempt to connect with their audiences and stay active in the music scene. Bang Bang Con ‘The Live’ will stream on June 14th, 2020.
