BLACKPINK are all set to release a new album

BLACKPINK fever is setting in real hard. The South Korean mega group just released the first teaser for their official debut studio album. The news reached fans earlier today via an Instagram post made by the group’s management. The stark toned black and pink poster announces a release date and the name of the upcoming album. “The Album” is slated for release on the 2nd of October, 2020.

Further, in a surprising turn of events, Korean media reported that BLACKPINK’s anticipated release, an as yet unconfirmed collaboration, will in fact be with pop superstar Selena Gomez. Contrary to this news, earlier this week, rumours suggested that the featuring artist on the group’s upcoming single will be Ariana Grande. Following the news reports, fans flooded Twitter with excitement at the possible collaboration.

“The Album” marks BLACKPINK’s first full length studio album since their debut in 2016. While the four member group has released multiple mini albums and featured on game-changing Western pop collaborations, this project marks their first extensive music project. Blinks, who have waited for years, are unsurprisingly excited.
