As if being the world’s biggest pop star wasn’t enough of an accolade, Billie Eilish came in hot with a brand new achievement, earlier today. The singer-songwriter just scored a massive record with the official music video for her Hot 100 single, ‘bad guy’. The cheeky, quirky visualiser just hit 1 billion views on YouTube, becoming one of the few music videos to do so on the video-sharing platform.

With this, ‘bad guy’ finds itself in the company of other billion-view scorers like BLACKPINK, BTS, Shawn Mendes and more. The video, which was released in March 2019 achieved this feat in a shorter span of time when compared to her peers. Then again, being a trendsetter is something Billie is well used to by now.

Billie’s meteoric rise to fame was helmed, in part, by ‘bad guy’. The alt-pop single helped Eilish and her producer/ brother, Finneas, establish their alternative sound in commercial pop music. Further, the single went on to score more than 19 weeks within the Hot 100 rankings, and won Grammy Awards for Song and Record of the Year.

Now, sure to join her list of accolades is the upcoming track that Eilish has slated for release. Earlier this week, the ‘my future’ singer announced the release of a new single. The track, titled, ‘Therefore I Am’, is set to reach us on Thursday, 10 AM PT. Announcing the single, Billie shared a caption that read: “I’M SO EXCITED FOR THIS ONE”. In addition, this single will mark her first since the previous 2020 releases: ‘No Time to Die’ and ‘my future’.
