Beyonce, Dua Lipa & Taylor Lead Grammy Nominations
The 63rd Grammy Awards are set to take place on March 14th, airing on CBS, it’s surely going to make your Sunday. With a massive nomination list of total 83 categories, it’s no surprise that the nominations are already out. And, it’s full of surprises.
The 2021 Grammy Awards will surely be as bold as ever but the nominations are too. From Beyonce leading the list by 9 nods to Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift and Roddy Rich bagging 6 nominations, it’s a big deal. Apart from this, BTS and Harry Styles are up for their first nomination ever.
Beyonce Bags 9 Nominations
Queen B is ruling the nomination list this year of Grammy Awards. Her latest track, ‘Black Parade’ has been appreciated for Record of the Year, Best R&B Performance and Best R&B song categories. Another track, ‘Savage’ with Megan Thee Stallion is also in the run for Record of the Year. Apart from these, Beyonce is also nominated for Best Music Video and Best Music Film for ‘Brown Skin Girl’ and “Black Is King” respectively.
Taylor Swift Grabs 6 Nominations
Well, that’s not the only crazy thing about the nomination list, Taylor Swift has reached a total of 41 nods this year. The ‘Lover’ singer bags six Grammy nominations including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for “Folklore”. Her famous, ‘Cardigan’ also brings her Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. Another hit track from her latest album, ‘Exile’ along with Bob Iver is up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Apart from this, she’s also in the run for Best Song Written for Visual Media for ‘Beautiful Ghosts’, from “Cats”.
Dua Lipa Competes With Taylor & Roddy Rich
Dua Lipa is also up for the big categories, this Grammy! The singer’s “Future Nostalgia” has made it’s way to the Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album nominations. For Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance categories, ‘Don’t Start Now’ is chosen. Her famous, ‘Un Dia’ which features J Balvin, Bad Bunny and Tainy are up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. She’s surely taking one trophy home, any guesses on which one?
Roddy Rich is also giving a massive competition to the girls in 2021 Grammy Awards. His ‘Rockstar’ is up for Record of the Year, ‘The Box’ for Best Melodic Rap Performance. Both of them also are chosen for Best Rap Song.
First Nominations For BTS & Harry Styles
The K-Pop group, BTS has already broken many records this year, no doubt. But, they’re just going bigger than ever. With their first nominations in the Grammy Awards, the group is surely impressing us. They’re up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their hit, ‘Dynamite’.
Following BTS, the former One Directioner, Harry Styles has gotten three nods in the Grammy Awards. His ‘Watermelon Sugar’ track is chosen for Best Pop Solo Performance and ‘Adore You’ for Best Music Video. Not only that, “Fine Line” is up for Best Pop Vocal Album. Wow! We really hope he takes home at least one!
