The Backstreet Boys are getting their sleeves rolled up for a massive party at Sin City for Christmas this year. “It will be the ultimate girl’s trip,” Howie Dorough, one of the band members, had shared.

The quintet will be returning to the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino following their hugely successful stint at the same place three years ago with their  “Larger Than Life” residency. The boys( correction, men) will play a string of 12 shows through Dec. 23. Tickets are priced at $89 and will go on sale from July 16th.

Britney Spears, Bruno Mars, Mariah Carey, Calvin Harris, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez are some of the other stars who have done residencies at Vegas and the American boy band shared that they had realized the benefits of the act following their “Larger Than Life” run.

A Las Vegas residency is when a well known musical artist is under contract to perform regularly scheduled shows at a single venue over a period of time

“If 10 years ago you had asked about playing Vegas, I would have been like, no, that’s where people go to retire into the sunset and put an end to their careers. But Celine (Dion), Britney (Spears), JLo (Jennifer Lopez) – they all recreated the thought of what people perceive of Vegas,” Dorough says.

“We really wanted to perform for our fans before the end of this year and felt it was a great opportunity,” Richardson added. “We have two Christmas songs in our history and thought we’d do 12 shows – a small sampling that could maybe happen annually.”

The Backstreet Boys, composed of Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, and Kevin Richardson, was formed in 1993 and they are best known for their hits-“I Want It That Way,” ″As Long as You Love Me” and “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).”
