A New Film on Michael Jackson is in the Making

Bohemian Rhapsody producer Graham King is moving on to another project, a film based on the legendary late pop star Michael Jackson.

Variety magazine reportedly stated that King had managed to strike a deal with the king of pop’s estate in order to gain rights to make a film on his life and his music.

Any talk of a movie on Michel Jackson, who passed away in 2009, will no doubt beg the question as to whether the movie will address the controversial issues that surrounded Jackson’s life.

There is no clarity on whether the script, which will be written by screenwriter John Logan, will feature those who accused Jackson.

A musical titled MJ will debut in August next year at the Neil Simon theatre. The musical is also based on his life and career and is much awaited.

Needless to state, one will certainly have to tread the path of making a movie on Jackson’s life cautiously.

Michael Jackson’s estate ended up suing HBO for $100 million for their documentary ‘Leaving Neverland’ in which two proteges of the late pop singer accused him of sexual abuse saying that he maintained an intimate relationship with them.

His estate’s lawsuit stated they had lied and had financial motive to do so.

Well, if there’s one thing we know for sure though, the movie will contain great music and some dance moves that millions are still fond of.
