A Baby, A New Album: Katy Perry Is Living Her Best Life

The past week has been an absolute riot for Katy Perry. She and Orlando Bloom welcomed a gorgeous little baby girl home and this one’s been named: Daisy Dove Bloom. And to add to that, Katy finally dropped her 12-track sixth studio album, “Smile”. Since then, the star has had to bear witness to a flood of wishes and congratulatory messages from her fellow musicians.

The latest heartwarming offering to arrive was a gift from the one, the only, Beyonce. The seasoned star gifted Katy with a gorgeous bouquet, sprinkled with peonies, roses and a ton of other pretty flowers. Beyonce even attached a little note that read, “Congratulations on the new addition to your family! – Beyonce.” Katy took to her Instagram stories to gush over Queen B’s present.

Previously, Katy also received outpourings of love from a number of other celebrities, like Noah Cyrus who wrote, “I am sooo happy for youuuu.” Or even Bloom’s  ex-wife Miranda Kerr, who exclaimed, “I’m so happy for you guys. Can’t wait to meet her,” surrounded by a series of sparkling heart emojis. In fact, even the prolific, Lionel Richie, took to Twitter to put out a charming little note that read, “Congratulations @KatyPerry, being a parent is one of the greatest joys life can bring! I’m so excited for you and Orlando to begin this journey! Wishing you both and #BabyCat Blossomall the best. Lots of love, Uncle Lionel!”

Oh but here’s the kicker, amid all these wishes, even Hillary Clinton took the time off to send the star a special message, “Congratulations, @katyperry and @orlandobloom—and thank you for speaking up for maternal health. Wishing you and your new family all the joy in the world,” she wrote, sprinkling in a little daisy emoji.

And so, despite all the madness this year has witnessed, it’s certainly proven to be a big one for Katy Perry, in more ways than one. In fact, the artist even added a poignant dedication to her daughter in her latest album. Titled, ‘What Makes A Woman’ this tune is lined with a syrupy-sweet guitar riff and the young star’s lullaby-like vocals as she croons,

She’s always been a perfect mystery
Could spend your whole life, but you couldn’t
Describe what makes a woman
And that’s what makes a woman to me

Well, here’s hoping that the rest of this year treats Katy Perry with as much love as it’s already given her.
