Sam Smith has been keeping us on the edge of our seats after they broke the news of their upcoming album and of course, its release date. Oh, but that’s not all, they’ve also got a name for this brand new album, it’s called ‘ To Die For’ and is set to drop on 1st May’20.
The 27 year old took to twitter to ask everyone to start pre ordering the new album, “I‘m more proud of this album than anything I’ve ever done. I’ve really set myself free the last two years whilst writing this & I hope you can dance and relate to these stories. It’s all for you, always xx,” they explained.
Smith didn’t give us a minute to breathe when they also shared the cover art of the album, which featured the young star in full make-up, with manicured hands caressing their face. The album will include songs such as ‘Promises’ featuring Calvin Harris, their summery, collaborative track with Normani, ‘Dancing With A Stranger’, the smash, rather heartbreaking hit, ‘How Do You Sleep’ and of course, their latest number, ‘To Die For’.
Speaking about their title track, Smith confessed, “Releasing this song is going to be a wild one, I feel like it’s from one of the deepest parts of me. I wrote this with Jimmy Napes and Stargate in LA during a time of self-discovery and heartbreak. This is for all the lonely hearts out there on another Valentine’s Day xx.”
The singer has won a total of 27 wins and has been nominated 74 times for two studio albums and 21 singles and it’s going to be pretty tough to top that, but it’s Sam Smith after all, so we’ve got high hopes!
