Earlier today, BLACKPINK’s social media reflected an extremely surprising post – their full tracklist. Ahead of the release of their upcoming debut studio album, “The Album”, the girls gave fans a look at what’s to come. And, with no warning, some shocking news arrived.
“The Album” Teases Surprise After Surprise
For starters, there’s a BLACKPINK x Cardi B collaboration on its way. And, if that wasn’t enough, the tracklist revealed that members Jennie and Jisoo have official writing and production credits. In a first for the group, the members have actively participated in the making of the music.
And, fans couldn’t be more thrilled. In addition, other news about the upcoming tracks (including titles, and more), have been revealed. So, here’s everything you need to know about “The Album” and its upcoming release.

1. “The Album” features their hit single, ‘Ice Cream’, featuring Selena Gomez. Further, the tracklist revealed that Ariana Grande and Victoria Monet helped pen the track.
2. In a first for the group, and Jennie herself, the rapper lent her hand to writing and production on the album’s title track, ‘LOVESICK GIRLS’. And, she’s got official credits, too.
3. And, if that wasn’t enough, fans are delighted because the tracklist revealed that Jisoo, too, helped pen the title track, ‘LOVESICK GIRLS’.
4. Cardi B is features on a track called, ‘Bet You Wanna’. Further, the track is entirely in English. And, in terms of sound, it promises a “bubbly and fresh” energy.
5. Other track names revealed were, ‘Pretty Savage’, ‘Crazy Over Me’, ‘Love To Hate Me’, and ‘You Never Know’.
6. “The Album”, slated for release on the 2nd of October, features 8 tracks in total.
7. David Guetta lent his production skills to the album’s title track, ‘LOVESICK GIRLS’.
8. Rose is set to stun fans with unique vocal runs on the tracks this time around. But, what’s new?
9. Further, Lisa joins Jennie with sensuous and hard-hitting rap parts on the various tracks on “The Album”.
10. ‘LOVESICK GIRLS’ will reportedly feature country-style guitaring, acoustic arrangements. And, it will also explore the nuances of love.
