Dual Lipa is 2 Days Away from Hitting us With “Future Nostalgia”

Dua Lipa just pushed forward her album release and we’re siked! She announced her decision to drop “Future Nostalgia” on March 27th , tearfully to twitter as she was uncertain if it was insensitive to put out music during this time of crisis.

“I hope it brings you some happiness, and I hope it makes you smile, and I hope it makes you dance. I hope I make you proud.” she tweeted with a video of her expressing her confusion, while also emphasizing that that music can bridge differences during adversities. Well said Dua well said !

She has been racking up hits on the Billboard chart recently with “Physical”and “Dont start now”. Her disco influenced track “Physical” even boasted a 90’s style workout video that stacked up views on its release on YouTube.

The New Rules hitmaker on an Instagram Live said that she didn’t want to do this, “What I wanted to talk about is my album and every time I talk about my album, I get quite emotional and I feel like I have been welling up a little bit, just a lot over the past couple of weeks, just because of the uncertainty over everything,” Lipa said, referencing the current coronavirus pandemic.

“I have been conflicted about putting music out, whether it is the right thing to do, because people are suffering,” she added. Some fans speculate that this move may have come after “Future Nostalgia” was leaked online last week. The 11 track album was spotted online by fans who dutifully brought it to her notice. The album’s next single, “Break My Heart,” has also been pushed forward to this Wednesday, March 25.

The 24 year old Grammy winner has also been urging her followers to engage in self isolation to combat the Corona epidemic. She has gone to great lengths to sensitize people about hygiene practices that should be practised during these perilous times. She made a ‘HOW TO AVOID CORONAVIRUS’ cheat sheet on twitter using the lyrics of “Dont Start Now”! Kudos to Dua for trying to keep things light during these times! We can’t wait for her energetic electrifying album!
